What is Toghairm?
Toghairm is a simple, mobile-friendly app that lets you quickly take attendance at training sessions and matches. Managers and coaches can mark players present or absent with just a few taps on their phone.
All attendance records are saved to a Google Sheet, so you have a complete history of who attended every session.
Step 1: The Data in the Google Sheet
Contact team administrators for access to the Shared Google Sheet data.
Tab 1: "Coaches & Managers"
This is where you assign PIN codes to managers/coaches so they can log into the app.
PIN numbers must be unique. Do not re-use the same PIN for two teams.

Team: The name of the team (e.g., "U12", "U14", "Senior Men")
PIN: A 4-6 digit code (e.g., 1234, 5678). Coaches will enter this to log in.
Managers: Just for your reference. The app doesn't use this.
Tab 2: "Players"
This is where you add all your players and assign them to teams.

To add players: Type the player's name in column A and their team in column B. One row per player.
Tab 3: "Attendance"
This tab is automatically filled by the app. You don't need to add anything here — just check it to see the attendance history.

Step 2: Using Toghairm
Taking Attendance

Open the app on your phone
Go to the Toghairm URL (https://toghairm.com) on your phone's browser

Enter your PIN
Tap in the 4-6 digit PIN you set up in the "Coaches & Managers" tab

Choose session type
Select "Training" or "Match"

Pick the date
The app defaults to today, but you can change it if needed

Mark attendance
Tap on each player to mark them present (green) or absent (outline)

Submit
Tap "Submit" to save. You'll see a confirmation with the count.

Step 3: Checking Attendance Records
Every time someone submits attendance in the app, a row is added to the "Attendance" tab in your Google Sheet.
You can:
- See who attended each training and match
- Filter by date, team, or session type
- Export data to Excel or PDF for reports
- Sort by player to see individual attendance history
Troubleshooting
"PIN not found" error
Double-check that the PIN is in the "Coaches & Managers" tab and spelled correctly. Make sure you didn't accidentally add spaces before or after the PIN.
Players not showing up
Make sure the player names are in the "Players" tab and that the team name matches exactly (e.g., "U12" vs "u12" won't work).
Attendance not saving
Make sure you have a good internet connection and that the "Attendance" tab exists in your Google Sheet with the correct column headers.
Need to log out?
When taking attendance, you'll see a "Log out" button in the app header to start fresh with a different PIN.
